Finding Accommodation

Finding accommodation in west-scotland.co.uk is easy. Simply select the town or village you want to visit to see our lists of premises sorted in order of price. Each listing includes a contact name and address,telephone number,an email address and a website where available. You may also see a picture of the premises. Please bear in mind the west-scotland.co.uk cannot endorse any of the listings and cannot accept liability if your accommodation doesn't work out.

Listing Accommodation

To list your accommodation for free in west-scotland.co.uk you need to do a few things. First you need to read the terms and conditions (use the link at the top of the page) and register your name, address, telephone number and email address. You will be asked to provide a username and password at this time so be sure to have that ready. Once registered you will be asked to log in which simply involves entering your new username and password. You will then be brought to the registered users home page which allows you to modify your details and your listing. You don't need to fill in these details yet. Your listing will simply display with a default image and no description. You now need to prepare a nice picture of your premises or the area you are in. This needs to be a fairly small picture of 200 x 130 pixels maximum and no bigger than 25Kb. This should be quite easy to achieve from a digital camera and a photo-editing package such as Photoshop. Next you need to prepare some text describing your premises. Keep this short, the maximum is 255 characters (about 20 words). It's a good idea to say whether or not pets, smokers are welcome etc. or if you have a STB endorsement here.You also need to decide on a price to display on the site. This should be the minimum you expect to charge. Finally keep a note of your website address, if you have one, in the form http://www.yourname.co.uk . Now go back and log in to add your text, price, image and website address to the listing. The image upload is easy too. Click the Upload button to open a small window which allows you to find the image on your computer and open it for uploading. Another click and its off. Your listing should now be available for previewing and we aim to get it up and running as soon as possible on the main listings.
